Wine and Jazz Evening featuring German Wines
August 3, 2006

There is no denying that it was a stormy evening. While everyone was still wondering why Typhoon Signal No. 3 was raised, everything around seemed worse than under Typhoon Signal No. 8. Perhaps some were questioning whether the standards of the observatory were outdated. Fortunately, Cyberport provided a first-class venue that was dry, cool, comfortable, and spacious for the attendees.

The venue, which could accommodate up to 150 people, hosted over 80 guests that evening, providing them with fine wines and audiovisual entertainment. If it weren't for the uninvited "Typhoon Bavi," perhaps more friends from various circles would have joined us.

That evening, we showcased 14 exquisite wines from the Mosel region in Germany and 4 red wines from other countries:

  1. 12.5%, 750ml, BEAUJOLAIS LANCIE 2004 (or Beaujolais Villages)

  2. 12.5%, 750ml, BEAUJOLAIS LANCIE 2005 (or Beaujolais Villages)

  3. 13%, 750ml, JULIENAS 2004

  4. 12.7%, 750ml, MORGON 2004

We also provided complimentary tastings of two premium wines from the same German region:
W88003 Neefer Frauenberg Riesling 2002 QbA 9 * Bronze Medal and
W88201 Neefer Frauenberg Riesling 2003 Spatlese 12% Trocken * Silver Medal

We also showcased a batch of newly arrived wine information from the Palatinate region in Germany at the end of this month.
