History of the Company:

 

Yuikee originated from a family-run neighborhood store established in 1964 called "Yui Kee‘s Store." During the 1970s, the company developed into a provisions supplier for Southern Hong Kong Island, serving businesses of all sizes from Stanley to Pokfulam, while the original store continued to serve as the main supplier for the Aberdeen district. In 1980, the company was renamed "Yui Kee Foods Company."

 

​Business Expansion 

By the mid-1980s, the company continued to expand its import portfolio, bringing in confectionery and provisions from Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia through intermediaries, and distributing products throughout Hong Kong. During China's reform and opening-up period, we seized the emerging opportunities, establishing direct sourcing channels from mainland vendors and leveraging Hong Kong's entrepôt trade advantages to sell products to overseas Chinese retailers.

 

Brand Upgrade and International Exhibition Participation 

Approaching the late 1980s, the company began sending representatives to food exhibitions in Europe and Japan, establishing connections with manufacturers and building a solid foundation for directly importing European and American provisions. In 1991, "Yui Kee Limited" was officially established and began operating at its current location.

 

Diversification 

In the 1990s, specialty products imported according to our company's specifications created significant trends in both Hong Kong and China, becoming widely popular across both regions. In 1993, the company's computer division was established, diversifying our business into computer software and services. In 2000, this division was spun off into a subsidiary "Ridgeway Computer Consultants Limited", specializing in network security products, support, and consultancy services, which served Hong Kong until 2022.

 

Wine Business Development 

After establishing solid partnerships with German suppliers, Yui Kee formally launched its wine import business in 2005. Initially, we focused on introducing premium white wines from Germany's renowned Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region, particularly Riesling wines produced in the internationally acclaimed steep vineyards along the lower Moselle River. These wines, characterized by their delicate acidity structure and unique mineral flavors, have gained tremendous popularity among local wine enthusiasts and collectors.

 

To ensure quality and stable supply, we have established long-term direct relationships with local wineries, personally participating in annual harvest evaluations and adjusting our wine selection strategies for the Asian market. Beyond retail and wholesale operations, we are also committed to promoting wine culture through regular wine tastings, themed dinners, and meet-and-greet sessions with winery representatives, allowing customers not only to enjoy the wines but also to gain deeper insights into their origins, winemaking philosophies, and stories.

 

As market demands diversify, we have gradually expanded our wine selection portfolio to include red wines from classic Spanish regions such as Ribera del Guadiana, Catalonia and La Mancha, as well as high-quality limited edition wines from Portugal's Alentejo regions. Every bottle is carefully selected by our professional team to achieve an ideal balance between taste, style, and value.

 

Today, wine has become one of our company's core businesses, continually attracting long-term clients from the restaurant, retail, and private collection sectors. Yui Kee is not just an importer but a trusted guide in your exploration of world wine culture.
